About the Saddles
If you enjoy paddling different types of water craft (canoe, kayak, and SUP) and want the ability to carry a passenger then these saddles are for you.
Weighing about five pounds you will not over load your paddle board or need to change your preferred standing location. When designing these saddles we wanted a seat which allowed for various paddling positions kneeling or seated with the ability to easily stand up and carry two people.
Now for the price of a good paddle, you can have a multi use seat that carries two riders in comfort.
These saddles provide versatility and flexibility for the recreational paddler, and a low cost alternative for those looking to cross train using different paddling styles. For fishing it provides a relaxing platform for many hours of use and a low profile seat to land that big catch. And now with the right type of paddle board you don’t need to own three different types of water-craft
The saddles are made out of 100% closed cell cross-link foam in three, four, and six pound density. Our foam is similar to MiniCel Foam but it is made in the USA- Minicel is now imported. All designs are done by us from scratch and made one at a time. Quality counts and we want our saddles to last a long time- one year warranty. This foam is extremely expensive and has been used in the kayak and canoe industry for many years with excellent long term results. The only difference is our foam is more dense (harder) which cost even more than the industry standard of two pounds.
The Original Saddle is 36 inches long and 12 inches at the highest point.
The Wedge is 29 inches long and 10.5 inches at the highest point.
Both saddles are equipped with three rod holders (holes cut to 1-1/8 inch) and work with salt water type fly rods with an extended butt, a drink holder, and there is a compartment for dry storage (water resistant, not water proof).
All saddles are made in Florida and finished by hand one at a time. The saddles are very impact and weather resistant and can support over three hundred pounds without flexing.
To further the life of your saddle, please remember to rinse in freshwater after each use and store out of the sun. The saddles come with two silicone bands (imported item) to secure the lid.
